“A ple brull”

“A ple brull”

2016

50 cm tall

Stoneware paper clay.

With this work, inspired by one of the poems of the book “Sal oberta” by Maria Mercè Marçal, I wanted to make a plastic interpretation of the emotions expressed by the author towards her pregnancy. “Heura que m’envaeixes el ventre i la follia!” (Ivy that invades my belly and madness!), This emotional phrase with which the aforementioned poem begins deeply marks the sculpture. The delivery and the love reflected in Marçal’s words become here an embrace that wants to be tender and protective.
